A day of silence can have a profound affect on our bodies, minds and nervous systems. Throughout time, human beings have taken time for solitude and quiet, time to reconnect with their own inner nature and reflect on what has meaning in their lives. This is almost completely absent in our culture today – and the consequences are unprecedented levels of stress, anxiety and depression, and many people struggle with a lack of clear meaning and purpose in their lives.

Deep, nourishing yoga, social silence and the practice of meditation have the power to bring us back home to ourselves, to calm our nervous systems, quiet our minds and open our hearts – reconnecting us to our deeper wisdom. These daylong retreats include alternating periods of yoga, breathing practices, meditation and walking in nature. The majority of the day is held in silence with time teachings from the wisdom traditions lightly woven throughout and time to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding nature at Green Gulch Zen Center. All levels welcome. Includes lunch fresh from Green Gulch Farm.
